Day Ten

Just when I feel I am starting to get the hang of the Elimination Diet http://londonpersonaltrainingstudio.com/ Dax Moy goes and shakes thing up!! supposed to boost our fat loss and metabolism!! But I have decided for the time being to just stick to the original ED Dax has said its optional and I do feel like I should be going for it and giving it my all but I am trying to make this a life change a journey and not a race so as I feel like I am still learning I will carry on.

Breakfast today was a delicious orange muffin, and yoghurt and a glass of orange juice really enjoyed that tried something new again for tea we tried Dax's Persian chicken with some chilli saute potatoes and baby sweetcorn and mange tout mmmm.

Day Nine

http://londonpersonaltrainingstudio.com/
Feeling good at the minute tummy definately feels less bloated trousers fit nicer yey!
Breakfast was fruit and yoghurt today as a bit of a rush this morning, lunch was yum had cajun hash browns with scrambled eggs and fresh orange juice really enjoyed that.
Managed to go for a swim tonight as I am really achey still only did about half an hour but really enjoyed it then treated myself to a freshly squeezed orange juice when I would normally have a latte and biscuits so felt really good.
Struggled a bit with will power tonight though had to go to parents evening at school got home about 7pm absolutely starving planned to have salmon with roasted vegetables for tea but knowing it would take probably close to an hour to prepare and cook etc I was very tempted to just cheat and grab something naughty and fast I mean REALLY tempted but luckily Martin has more will power and just got on an cooked it for us so feel very pleased will treat myself to a bowl of strawberries and yoghurt lol only after my workout!

Day Eight

http://londonpersonaltrainingstudio.com/
Managed much better with my water today almost 2 litres although should be 2.5l but is improving I think the hot weather is helping!
Breakfast was my usual banana eggs, then lunch I had caribbean chicken salad nice for a change although probably not one of my favourites I then finished off the moraccan turkey patties I had made sunday for tea with some sweet potato wedges.
Exercise wise a bit of a disaster didn't get home until 8pm then had to put kids to bed, tidy up, sort uniforms bags etc make some tea so didn't sit down to at until 9pm just managed a quick power circuit at 10pm before getting into bed exhausted!

Day Seven.

Day 7 of our elimination diet summer challenge find out more at http://londonpersonaltrainingstudio.com/

Started the day with my meltdown workout which always kills me it was the thought of my banana eggs and fresh orange and raspberry juice for breakfast that got me through lol.

Lunch today was smoked salmon salad after a nice walk with the dog and the kids its so lovely to see the sun shine and its been really hot today too.

Tea tonight was moroccan turkey patties and cajun potato wedges really tasty I will treat myself later to some strawberries and melon with live bio yoghurt as I had tea early.

Still have 2 workouts to do so when kids are in bed I will make a start as I have to leave 2 hours between each. I also have to get my menus organised Martin is on nights so I have to plan what meals will be ok for him to reheat and have them ready.

Day Six

Day 6 of Dax Moy's 2011 Elimination Diet Summer Challenge http://londonpersonaltrainingstudio.com/

MMM banana eggs for breakfast really tasty, could definately be a new favourite! also tried smoked salmon fish cakes and salad today another really tasty recipe I am really enjoying all the natural flavours of the fruits and vegetables as I can actually taste them now as they aren't covered in sauces etc.

Struggled a little to get all my workouts done busy day saturday kids have ballet and swimming lessons plus its my day to get all the housework and errands done, its not that I don't have the time its just spacing out the workouts that I struggle with if they could be done back to back at night I would be fine...... actually no I  would be a pool of sweat and tears and exhaustion on the floor lol.

We were invited to a BBQ and party but had to decline my will power isn't strong enough to resist just yet and I know what I am like it would be oh 1 glass of wine won't hurt and after 3 I would start nibbling the desserts so best to stay away just yet.

Day Five

http://londonpersonaltrainingstudio.com/

In a rush this morning so didn't get my workout done before work and only managed to grab a yoghurt for breakfast which isn't ideal as I was hungry the rest of the morning but didn't have time to eat anything so must make sure I get to bed early enough that I can get up earlier I know what I should be doing its just actually doing it thats the problem lol.

Have managed to persuade hubby to join in too so he is starting tomorrow he has done this before and got fantastic results he did Dax Moys 30 in 30 challenge summer 2009 there should be a blog on here some where with some fantastic before and after pics will try to find it for motivation. Ha just found his photos!!

Made Bombay chicken for tea OMG amazing!!! it was delicious although note to self don't overdo the curry powder next time.

Day Four

Feeling ok just lacking a bit of motivation must try to get to bed earlier we are supposed to be in bed by 10.30pm at the latest but there just aren't enough hours in the day so that is something else I need to work on.

I am still enjoying my food had another banana & orange muffin for breakfast with  a bio yoghurt then had a chicken salad for lunch and fish for tea I am finding that i'm not really hungry between meals but do carry an apple and some cashew nuts with me just in case I get tempted by anything.

I have been reading all the blog posts and discussions by all the others doing the challenge and it does really motivate me I am resisiting the urge to weigh or measure myself although I know a few of the others have done and some great results already, I don't really feel any different myself yet but we will see on weigh in day!

Day Three

Ok so still struggling witth the water will continue to work on that but I have to tell you that I made some orange and banana muffins for breakfast from the Elimination diet cookbook find it on http://londonpersonaltrainingstudio.com/ they were delicious especially when eaten still warm mmmmm I had one with some live natural yoghurt and felt full all morning.

Lunch was a fruit omelette made with lots of berries and topped with a dollop of live natural yoghurt mixed with cinammon and I have to say it was amazing and again I didn't feel hungry all afternoon.

Still having the headaches but my tummy definately feels flatter so that is motivating me struggling to fit the exercise in but am determined this time its for me I will do this!

Day Two.

Day 2 and feeling not too bad!
The headache has kicked in but isn't as bad as I remember.
Bad food planning today in a rush this morning so no time to make proper breakfast, so just grabbed a live natural yoghurt and a banana. I had made myself a lovely chicken salad for lunch and left it at home  Grrr so dashed out at lunch time and managed to find a mixed fruit salad and some cashew nuts phew again today struggling to drink all my water which I know isn't helping headache, so have to keep trying to do better!

Tummy feels less bloated already think that's probably because I haven't been drinking the usual litre of Coke but do feel quite good today.

I am also struggling to fit the workouts into my day, I am not trying to make excuses but I work full time, and have 2 young children this morning I was up at 6.30am to get us all ready and out the door for 7.45am then didn't get home until 6pm by the time I have bathed the kids and got them to bed its 7.30pm and I am starving so I eat, and tidy up and get clothes, bags, food etc ready for the next day which is usually about 9-9.30pm there just aren't enough hours in the day but I know I just have to get on with it I am doing this for me so I have to look at the workouts as my time and make it a priority I think getting to bed earlier will help because I will be able to get up a bit earlier and get some done before work, and then before bed if I want to reach my goals I have to work hard.

So my aim for tomorrow is to get up earlier get a workout done and drink my 2.5 litres of water.

The Countdown begins.......

I have signed up to doLondon Personal Trainer Dax Moy's 2011 Elimination Diet Summer Challenge which starts tomorrow  http://www.londonpersonaltrainingstudio.com I am so looking forward to getting started. I have used the Elimination diet a couple of times before I know it works I have just been lacking the motivation to do it on my own so I have joined the challenge and started this blog to hold myself accountable.

My aim is to lose about 10lb and to reduce my body fat percentage. I just want to be healthy and to look and feel it too.

It isn't going to be easy but it's going to be worth it and when I see what a difference 30 days makes I am hoping it will change my eating habits for good. I am an emotional eater I eat when I'm happy, sad, to celebrate to commiserate I eat when I'm bored and I eat out of habit so the big bar of Galaxy chocolate and glass of Coke at bedtime has to go I am ready. I WILL do this!!
